This album is a strange and wonderful brew. Thrashing death metal played with vintage doom guitar tones forms the bedrock of the music. But the real greatness comes from the symphonic and folk elements scattered throughout. I would describe this music as brutal and refreshing, as strange of a combination of words as that may be. A truly great and awesome album this is.
